Vermont Space Grant Consortium
Cubesat Propulsion System
Program Type: Higher Education
The activity was part of a two-semester senior capstone engineering design course in mechanical engineering at the University of Vermont. The design team was tasked with developing a cold gas propulsion system capable of providing 6 degree of freedom motion for a 3U cubesat architecture subject to prescribing constraints on thrust and impulse levels. Further, the entire system was constrained to fit into a 2U volume or less within the cubesat.
