The Augsburg Research program includes mentored undergraduate student research in two topical areas: Space Physics, Environmental Mathematics, Materials Science, and Atmospheric Chemistry. These research areas are primarily carried out in our physics, chemistry, and mathematics departments, respectively. Typically, the support allows for one student in each area to conduct either a ten week full time summer research during the summer months or part time research during the academic year. Students present their research at institutional, regional, national, and even international conferences. Additionally, 1-2 projects each year ultimately lead to research that is published in peer-reviewed journals.
