The Keith Terry Palen Observatory (KTPO) and Physics Department Public Observatory (PDPO) at Tracy Hall Science Center are two new facilities designed with undergraduate education and public outreach in mind. These are the only facilities of their kind in the Ogden-Clearfield Metropolitan Statistical Area, which has a population of about 600,000 people. The KTPO is a robotic telescope, primarily dedicated to hands-on undergraduate research projects. The PDPO is a set of nine rooftop telescopes, along with other equipment, dedicated to undergraduate education and public outreach.
