Michigan Space Grant Consortium

Undergraduate Fellowship Program

Program Type: Internship/Fellowship/Scholarship

The MSGC Undergraduate Fellowship Program offers research and public service fellowships to students in aerospace engineering, space science, mathematics, and other science and engineering fields as well as to students working on educational research topics in mathematics, science, or technology. Preference is given to projects in aerospace engineering, space science, Earth system science, and directly related educational efforts. The objective of this program is to enable students, faculty, and research scientists to engage in a research topic that exposes students to cutting edge research efforts that yield new science with the students as meaningful co-authors of peer-reviewed journal articles. We believe that by giving students the opportunities to be a part of important research projects allows gives them the excitement necessary to motivate them to do well academically and pursue careers in these fields. The MSGC Fellowship Program also provides support to students selected for internships at NASA Centers, in industry, and at the University of Michigan. Note about the on-going project question below: Most of the students who received these fellowships are completed with the experence. Some are continuing. Because these students had been chosen and funded by the previous MSGC program manager, it is assumed that their US citizenship was confirmed. The pattern of information entry here also follows previous years accepted patterns.
