The Boy Scouts of America operate Tifie Scout Camp east of Mt. Pleasant Utah. Ten years ago a donor provided a Meade 10 inch reflecting telescope with computer control and the ability to output digitally. Although installed, the telescope was minimally used and the observatory fell into disrepair. A Snow College astronomy professor, along with Snow College students, is leading an effort to get the telescope operational. The hope is to control the telescope remotely and send images via the internet to the college campus.
