Colorado Space Grant Consortium
RRCC Space Grant

The RRCC eclipse team used the fall semester to complete data analysis from the summer flight. In addition, 2 other teams designed, built, and flew scientific high altitude balloon payloads with the COSGC DemoSat program. Student teams also complete autonomous rover projects with the COSGC Robotics Challenge. RRCC is one of 3 COSGC community colleges collaborating on a sounding rocket payload program. The 2nd 2-year project launched and the 3rd team started design of the 3rd iteration of the project. RRCC also initiated a new Mars Grow project – first developing Mars regolith for use in agricultural experiments. RRCC hosted the robotics workshop. Students also are converting a satellite dish into a radio telescope. One student continues an internship exploring shared observatory resources within the Consortium.
