Mini-Grants

The NASA Kentucky Mini-Grant program supports pre-college and information education projects for Consortium affiliates.
The goal of Mini-Grants for NASA Kentucky pre-college education programs is to provide educational opportunities at sites across the state designed to attract and retain students, as well as develop teacher content knowledge in NASA-related STEM disciplines. Mini-Grants are used to provide a wide variety of opportunities envisioned by Affiliates from STEM camps and competitions to K-12 teacher training. Mini-grants are intended to increase the numbers of pre-college students exposed to NASA Kentucky opportunities.
The goal of Mini-Grants for NASA Kentucky informal education programs is to increase awareness among the public, students and educators regarding the breadth and accomplishments of NASA Kentucky programs and affiliates. Mini-Grants are used to provide a wide variety of opportunities envisioned by Affiliates such as developing museum-based astronomy and aerospace programs for the general public. Mini-grants will increase awareness among the public, students and educators of NASA and NASA Kentucky programs and affiliates
Proposals will be accepted from PIs at NASA Kentucky Space Grant Consortium Affiliate Institutions collaborating with scientific sites or institution recruiters. Women and minorities are strongly encouraged to apply. US Citizenship is required. The proposed activity must be aligned with NASA themes addressed by one or more of the MD/OCT. Connections with Kentucky companies will be viewed favorably.
