Nebraska Space Grant Consortium

Lucas: SPACE Conference

Program Type: Pre-College

The Space Port Area Conference for Educators (SPACE) is a collaborative project between the Astronauts Memorial Foundation and the NASA Nebraska Space Grant. The first ever educators conference was held at Kennedy Space Center in July 2018. The conference was a huge success with 5 astronauts, 34 educator presentations, Lunar and Meteorite Certification, KSC tours, an exhibit hall, and the Big Bang Ball under the shuttle Atlantis. In addition to the conference development, the Nebraska Space Grant provided 15 teacher partial travel grants to Nebraska educators to attend the conference.
