The HSGC Workforce Development program under the direction of the Hawaii Space Flight Laboratory provides a venue for students to participate in a workforce development program to excel in satellite building in a hands-on environment and to broaden their experiences with design, construction, test and reporting procedures. These projects tend to attract students that have previous space research satellite experience through other projects or community colleges that would lead them to progress into more advance satellite projects. The development of CubeSats projects are geared for students at institutions that have more resources to fund these efforts.
