Drexel Univ Space Systems Lab

The mission of Drexel University Space Systems Lab (DSSL) is to inspire future generations to advance aerospace technology. DSSL achieves this by involving University students of all levels in learning through hands-on activities. The current members are involved in at least one of these projects: NASA sponsored RASC-AL projects; SAE DBF Competition; CubeSat and ChipSat Projects; Deign of an Airship; yet-to-be-established Drop-Vehicle University Competition; Small-satellite mission to Venus; and on-going high-altitude balloon projects. Through DSSL students learn the excitement and the challenges involved in aerospace engineering arena. DSSL activities cover a wide range of altitudes: DBF and model-airplane flights (low altitude); high-altitude balloon (high altitude); CubeSat and ChipSat projects (LEO); Venus project (interplanetary altitudes); and Icarus Interstellar Student Chapter (IISC) activities (interstellar altitudes).
