Destination Space Summer Camp

Stall High School respectfully requests $1,600.00 for two female students to attend the Destination Space Summer Camp (Satellite Week) Program offered through the Asheville Museum of Science (AMOS) in North Carolina. Stall High School is a Title I school in which over 87% of students are minority, and over 90% are economically disadvantaged.
While at Destination Space Camp, the students will cultivate a long term interest in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM) disciplines by providing them with a unique, hands-on, remote sensing opportunities.
Students will learn about satellites and remote sensing at the University of North Carolina, Asheville (UNCA) campus. The camp will feature NASA, NOAA, and UNCA scientists, engineers and educators and will be filled with stimulating science, engineering, and team building activities to foster future innovation and provide professional development.
Destination SPACE inspires and empowers students to develop into capable scientists to become the next generation of STEM leaders.
