Week-long academy for students in grades 1-10 offering hands-on training and experiences through our Destination academies in related activities and fields. Participants are challenged to think, create, solve, build and work cooperatively. Curriculum is standards-based and designed to integrate the study of science, technology, engineering, and mathematics using Earth and Space Education as the unifying framework. Current STEM/NASA themes and content are integrated into the curriculum. Teachers are asked to serve as staff/mentors for the week and assist with the academy. Participants and staff are informed of current NASA opportunities, mission activities and opportunities during academy and throughout the year.
