NASA graduate fellowships are available to University of Utah graduate students who are American citizens and whose research is in an area of biomedical research related to human space travel, life support systems in space, and space crew health maintenance facilities. Preference is given to applicants with interest and training in these areas. The annual graduate student fellowship award for a PhD student is for up to $26,000/year. Applications are due annually on October 1st.
