MDSGC awards scholarships to students at the following affiliate institutions: Johns Hopkins University, Morgan State University, Towson University, Capitol Technology University, Hagerstown Community College, University of MD College Park, University of MD Baltimore County, and University of MD Eastern Shore. (The US Naval Academy is not included, as scholarship funds are not needed there.) A Scholarship Committee, composed of one or more representatives from each institution, assists in recruiting students to apply, determining awardees, monitoring student progress, and reporting on student success. An annual meeting is held which all students are required to attend. At this meeting they learn about other NASA opportunities and how to apply for them.
