Louisiana Space Grant Consortium

NASA Intern: Meredith, LSU (Stennis)

Program Type: Internship/Fellowship/Scholarship

Summer internships provide students with valuable experiences working at a NASA center or an aerospace contractor site on a relevant aerospace project and, as such, 1) promote workforce development, 2) further a students educational experience, and 3) develop new collaborations with NASA / Aerospace industry. Every year there are numerous opportunities for students through the NASA Academy, the NASA Robotics Academy, LARSS, and programs at other NASA centers. Each opportunity can be highly competitive, and over the years we have had many Louisiana students selected. Once a student is selected for an internship, LaSPACE will fund a $6,000 stipend to cover student expenses. In addition to the hands-on research experience these students received at their host-center, they were taken to additional NASA and space industry partner sites around the country.
