Expanding Your Horizons is a STEM education fair for middle and junior high school aged young women, held annually at UVU. Physics faculty and students from UVU run the event as presenters and physics experiment demonstrators.

In 2018, 444 young women attended and 222 received partial scholarships to offset the cost of attendance and registration. A similar event called Empowering Your Tomorrows is held for young men. In the last year 257 boys attended, and 147 of those received similar scholarship. The NASA Space Grant Consortium provided $1500 to help cover these scholarships. Each event is held on a Saturday, and features nearly 2 dozen breakout workshops covering fields from astronomy to zoology. Speakers are recruited from local universities and industries to describe the profession and presented exciting demonstrations and materials from their fields.
