The SCSGC may provide support for qualified students to participate in various research and internship programs offered by NASAs Centers, such as: the NASA Academy programs, The Undergraduate Research Program (USRP) at Langley, Langleys LARSS program, ESMD programs, JPL Internships or independent research projects at NASA Centers. These programs enable undergraduate students to work for 10 weeks on-site at a NASA Center with a mentor. The programs are designed for technically oriented students with an interest in gaining knowledge, awareness and a greater appreciation for research activities and its affects in the real world. These internship supplements will be used to support a students work and/or to supplement travel expenses to a NASA Center. The amount of the student stipend award depends upon the program for which the student is accepted. The actual stipend amounts are determined by each program and Center.
