Programs implemented under the Oregon Native Launch Program are now delivered under the Oregon Space Science Education Program, OSSEP by the OSSEP specialist. OSSEP engages K-12 students from the Tribal communities in NASA-related aerospace activities. OSSEP provides a series of activities to engage students with introductory experiences and a progression of experiences designed to deepen student engagement and understanding of aerospace hardware and space science. Eleven programs with a variety of topics including Mars, Astronauts, Astronomy, Rocketry, UAV/Drones, Robotics, and the Eclipse are available. The program is currently under development; supplies were purchased and toolkits were assembled in preparation for workshops. A website was set up to schedule the OSSEPs to conduct workshops and activities. The program is slotted to become active in 2019.
