North Dakota Space Grant Consortium
STEM Ambassadors

The STEM Ambassador program is a competitive program available to qualified undergraduate and graduate students at the affiliated institutions across North Dakota. Students are self-motivated and passionate about STEM outreach, promoting hands-on activities such as StarLabs, library events, community astronomy events, and organized K12 classroom visits. Students must maintain a 3.0 GPA, provide a letter of recommendation from a faculty member, and answer a series of prompted essay questions. STEM Ambassadors expand NDSGCs presence across the state, reaching the western side, more rural towns, and the American Indian communities. During this reporting period, NDSGC had a team of six Ambassadors, originating from the University of North Dakota, Mayville State University, and North Dakota State University.
